About the event
The Camp Meeting played a significant role in the spiritual revivals of New England. Families from hundreds of miles around would pour into a campground days to weeks at a time for worship, singing, preaching, and fellowship. The Newmarket, NH Camp Meeting grew so large that it's 18,000 people had to move to Epping, NH!
We invite you to attend three days of rustic tent camping, great fellowing for all, and convicting Bible preaching that edifies the heart. Pawtuckaway State Park Youth Group Sites A-D is the location for this year's Camp Meeting. The indvidual camp sites do not have water or electricity, although both are available on site. Showers are available at the main campground, which is about 1.5 miles away. Clean bathrooms are conveneitly located on site at the main pavillion in the middle of the the Youth Area.
Our purpose is to provide something that is missing in modern Christianity - an elongated time for the brethren to fellowship and be conviceted by the preaching of God's Word. Most Chiristians see each other for a few hours on Sunday or Wednesday, but do not really know the other members of their church or other Christians. How are we supposed to bear one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2) if we do not know or trust one another? The preaching of God's Word has also been replace in modern churches with drama, skits, rock bands, talks, or shows. We provide Bible preaching staight from God's Word. This is also a great time for pastors to gather, rest, fellowship, and be fed.
